If you’re a vegan not using hemp seeds, you’re missing out!

The nutritional value and taste is something that you cannot ignore.

How To Make Hemp Milk With Nutiva Seeds

One of the biggest issues for persons thinking of giving up the creaminess that you get from dairy.

But that can be easily fixed by getting your milk from hemp seeds.

So, I am going to give you a quick guide on how to make hemp milk. Don’t worry it is easy to do.

Things you will need:

  • A blender
  • 2 cups of water
  • Sweetener (honey, stevia or dates)
  • Fine grained strainer.
  • Vanilla extract (can be liquid or powder)
  • Salt
  • Optional; powdered coconut milk if you want it to be extra creamy


  • Pour the 2 cups of water into the blender
  • Then add ½ to 1 cup of hemp seeds
  • 1tbsp of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Then add your sweetening agent as per your desired sweetness.
  • Now you are going to blend the mix on high speed on and off for 30 seconds until it’s smooth with tiny grains.
  • Strain the milk into a clean container (you might want to strain it a second time to get rid of extra shells).
  • It can be kept refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Ways You Can Use Hemps Seeds


To me the creaminess is unparalleled to any other plant milk such as cashew, oats and rice milk.

Therefore, it’s perfect for making smoothies.

After a heart-pounding workout, you can use it as your base when mixing your vegan protein powder.

If you are not going to blend the protein shake, then make sure you add a little room temperature water to the protein powder to avoid lumps in the shake.

Once the mixture is smooth you can add the hemp milk.

Another way to use hemp seeds is to sprinkle it over your salads. This will definitely increase the protein content of any salad bowl.

Lastly, one of my favorite ways to use the Nutiva Hemp seeds is to sprinkle it on my oatmeal breakfast.

Honestly, this milk can be used in any recipe that you generally use dairy milk as it is a great substitute.
